Compare the coverage.
Then compare the price.
The cheapest quote depends on your state, bike, riding history, limits, and deductibles. There is no universal lowest-price policy. This page is educational and does not quote insurance.
Ohio’s minimum liability requirements
Ohio requires liability coverage or another form of financial responsibility. The statutory minimum limits are $25,000 for bodily injury per person, $50,000 for bodily injury per accident, and $25,000 for property damage (25/50/25). These are floors, not recommendations.
Ohio is an at-fault state. Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage is not mandatory, but insurers must offer it and a rejection generally requires a written waiver. Collision, comprehensive, medical payments, accessory coverage, and roadside assistance are optional products.
Build a comparison checklist
Ask each insurer for the same inputs and the same outputs:
- Bodily injury liability and property damage limits.
- Uninsured/underinsured motorist limits.
- Collision and comprehensive deductibles.
- Accessory and safety-apparel coverage.
- Annual total including fees, taxes, and discounts.
- Exclusions, claims service, and cancellation terms.
Compare written quotes with identical assumptions. A monthly payment that hides fees is not a cheaper policy.
Where to research an insurer
Ohio Moto Crashes does not currently receive affiliate compensation from insurers. If that changes, links will be labeled and the disclosure will be updated.
After a crash, your own coverage may matter
Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, medical payments coverage, and collision coverage can be relevant when another driver has no insurance or too little coverage. Ask an Ohio lawyer or your insurer how your policy applies to your circumstances.
